How to make an Internet Call?
Follow these 5 easy steps:
Step 1
Access the Internet and type in the browser address bar www.myrelay.com to connect to us.
Step 2
Select “Internet Relay”, type the area code and telephone number and then click the “Connect to Communication Assistance (CA)” button.
Step 3
You will connect to a CA who will place your call and inform you of the call status: “ringing” or “busy”.
Step 4
When the person you are calling answers, the CA will type their greeting, then “GA” for “Go Ahead.” This means it is your turn to respond. When you are done typing your message, type “GA”.
Step 5
Continue this process until the end of your call. When you are ready to end your call, type “SK” for “Stop Keying” then close the chat window.
Here are some useful tips to know when using Myrelay.com Internet Relay:
Make your call faster and easier by requesting special instructions
- Type any special instructions for the CA in the “Dialing Instructions” box. Instructions should be short - 35 characters or less. If you already have a “Myrelay Customer Profile” your instructions will automatically appear in your request box. If you do not have one, you can fill in a Myrelay Customer Profile now.
- The CA will see your instructions and the number you want to call.
Speed up your conversation by sending your text in smaller parts
- Type the beginning of your message.
- Press the “Enter” key.
- The CA can read your text as you send it.
